This title needs to refer to college students, youth, culture and my generation. I want this title to be quick, fresh and memorable. i-D is one of my favourite names for a magazine because it means identity, status and individuality. The name is quick and contemporary - making it straightforward and easy for the readers to recognise.
The Thesaurus will help me find the ideal word that relates to students, youth and culture.
Youth -- youngster, adolescence, new.
Students -- junior, scholar, freshman, sophomore.
Culture -- perception, mode, trend, viewpoint, class.
Teenager -- minor, youngster, kids.
Individual -- original, respective, genuine.
Clique -- gang, posse, crew, party -- society.
New -- unique,
Insight -- wisdom.
It could be interesting if I used AW/15 ? The same to what they use for fashion magazines and upcoming trends. AW- means Autumn Winter, it is the recent trend. It could be a modern Title and relate to our trends, our generation and our culture. Although AW won't make any sense to my theme.
CS/15- college students 2015
CL/15- college life "
S/15 - students "
JS/15- just students "
JK/15 - just kids "
JCS/15 - just college students "
JCK/15 - just college students "
C/15 - college "
CS/15 - college season "
SS/15 - student season "
Underlined - (the underlined are more appealing)
CS/15
S/15(not engaging enough)
JK/15( doesn't really fall of the tongue)
SS/15 (The SS has already been used)
S/15(not engaging enough)
JK/15( doesn't really fall of the tongue)
SS/15 (The SS has already been used)
I asked my peers to choose the best out of those four that they thought would be more suitable for a magazine title and the majority of them chose CS/15.
I think that CS/15 is more ideal than the others as well because you can say it easily, its simple, contemporary and it will look unique on the front cover.
